Allen is a true symbol of climbing the ladder to the top. Now a media personality, established comedian and executive, Allen has readied his bid to purchase an NFL team. He went from vying for a chance to make it with nothing but a joke and a microphone to working with a group of investors to obtain ownership of an NFL team, according to Bloomberg. Sources close to the situation revealed that NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell and Patriots owner Robert Kraft appealed to Allen about bidding for the Broncos, and he’s reportedly all-in, according to Sports Illustrated.

This comes on the heels of Wednesday’s news that current team owners Dan and Tanya Snyder have hired Bank of America to explore selling the team. If Allen makes a successful bid, he would make history as the first black majority team owner in the history of the NFL.
