Actor Frankie Grande, the brother of superstar singer Ariana Grande, was attacked and robbed last week by two teenagers in New York.

Grande was reportedly walking down the street when the unprovoked attack occurred, according to TMZ. The outlet reported that the frightening encounter began without any warning, with one of the two teens approaching Grande from behind and punching him in the back of the head. The blow stunned the unsuspecting actor, and the teens took advantage of the moment by robbing him of his bag and fleeing the scene, according to TMZ.

The two teens then reportedly made their way to a nearby smoke shop and attempted to use Grande’s credit cards to make some purchases just hours after the attack, according to TMZ. The use of the cards alerted police, who rushed to the store and swiftly arrested the teenagers.

One of suspects is 17 years old and the other is 13. Their names were not disclosed to the public. Police arrested them for assault, robbery, grand larceny and other crimes, according to TMZ. There is no word yet on court dates or the possibility of surveillance video. (RELATED: REPORT: Former SNL Star Will Undergo Surgery After Brutal Attack)

Grande’s injuries were not identified, and the actor has not spoken publicly about the incident.

This isn’t the only criminal encounter the Grande family has had to contend with this year. Ariana Grande faced an unexpected visit from her stalker on her birthday when the man broke into her Los Angeles home in June.
