There is no fanbase in sports quite like Bills Mafia.

Buffalo Bills fans helped shovel out players’ driveways on Saturday so they could make it to the airport. The Bills vs. Browns game Sunday was moved from Buffalo to Detroit Thursday due to the historic six-foot snowstorm in upstate New York.

Bills offensive-lineman Spencer Brown posted a video to his Instagram story of Bills’ fans using snowblowers and shovels to help him dig out from his snowy driveway so he could go catch his flight for the game.

Fullback Reggie Gilliam posted a picture of fans helping him escape the mess also with a caption that read, “Mafia, you never fail to amaze me!”

Bills fans helping their players get out of the snow is a prime example of why they’re one of the most beloved fanbases in the NFL.

Former Bills’ center Eric Wood posted pictures on Twitter of Buffalo players in a similar situation in 2014 being picked up by strangers on snowmobiles. Wood said of Bills Mafia, “They’ll do what’s necessary to get to Detroit today. I can guarantee you that.”

There’s no driveway other than my own that I would shovel if there was over five-feet of snow on the ground. After a while, that snow feels heavier and more difficult to pick up once you’re tired. Only diehard Bills fans would be willing to go dig themselves out of their own driveways and then go shovel out somebody else’s too.

The Mafia will do just about anything for their football team, even if that means putting in extra hours of back breaking snow shoveling so all their players can make it to the game.

Time and again, Bills Mafia shows why their fanbase is rock solid. They are a special bunch.
