Parler announced that it had made a mutual decision with the rapper Kanye “Ye” West, to terminate West’s acquisition of the conservative social media platform in mid-November, hours after West defended Nazis on Alex Jones’ InfoWars.

West and Parler’s parent company, Parlement Technology, initially announced that the rapper was acquiring the social media platform on Oct. 17, following West’s suspension from Twitter and Instagram over various antisemitic statements, including that he was going “going death con 3 [sic] On JEWISH PEOPLE.” Jones began to argue that West did not deserve to be called a Nazi, On InfoWars Thursday, following his remarks, prompting West to respond “Well, I see good things about Hitler… Every human being has value that they brought to the table, especially Hitler.”(RELATED: ‘We Gotta Stop Dissing’: Kanye West Interrupts Alex Jones To Defend Nazis)

“In response to numerous media inquiries, Parlement Technologies would like to confirm that the company has mutually agreed with Ye to terminate the intent of sale of Parler,”  Parler tweeted Thursday. “This decision was made in the interest of both parties in mid-November.”

The company followed up with a separate tweet saying that “Parler will continue to pursue future opportunities for growth and the evolution of the platform for our vibrant community.”

Hours after West’s comments on InfoWars, he tweeted a photograph of a statement that read: “I love the first amendment! Long live Ye! I pray to Jesus that Elon is for real…”

“Jesus taught love, kindness and forgiveness,” Musk replied. “I used to think that turning the other cheek was weak & foolish, but I was the fool for not appreciating its profound wisdom.”

The Twitter account for the GOP members of the House Judiciary Committee deleted an Oct. 6 tweet that read “Kanye. Elon. Trump,” following West’s appearance on InfoWars, according to NBC News Thursday.

“Ye is making a groundbreaking move into the free speech media space and will never have to fear being removed from social media again,” said Parlement Technologies CEO George Farmer, in an Oct. 17 press release announcing the acquisition.

Parler did not immediately respond to the Daily Caller News Foundation’s request for  comment.
