This was such a dope moment.

Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers suffered a 35-7 loss to the San Francisco 49ers on Dec. 11, and at one point during the game, 49ers linebacker Dre Greenlaw caught an interception off a pass from the greatest of all time (G.O.A.T.). At the end of the game, Greenlaw — “like a little fan” — asked Brady to autograph the football. And despite Brady being on the end of one of the Bucs’ most disastrous defeats of the season, he showed Greenlaw some love and signed the ball in true iconic fashion.

“I went like a little fan… I tried to soothe him up, make him feel better. ‘Man, yeah, you’re the greatest ever,’ all that good stuff. But he is, he is,” Greenlaw told reporters after the game.

I would have done the exact same thing if I was Dre Greenlaw.

Just imagine how good that football is going to look in his display case — not only is it a football that he intercepted off a Tom Brady pass, but he even got the G.O.A.T. himself to sign it for him. That will definitely be one of the coolest pieces in Greenlaw’s entire collection.

And with Brady, this is just another reason to love the guy.

It’s funny, being a Miami Dolphins fan with the New England Patriots playing in the same division, I used to hate Tom Brady. But I started becoming a fan around the time of the Deflategate scandal back in 2015. I just thought it was ridiculous to punish Brady because of something that there was never any solid evidence of him doing. And, come on, I highly doubt Brady needs to take air out of a ball in order to win a championship — the man has seven rings, for God’s sake. Well, defending him in debate after debate made me a fan over time.

Seven years later, and I don’t regret my decision at all.

What a cool dude.
