“Yellowstone” stars Lainey Wilson and Piper Perabo commented Wednesday on rumors that the iconic cowboy drama is coming to an end.
Wilson, a popular country music singer who only appeared in a few small scenes on season five of the show, told Entertainment Tonight that “it’s been crazy, you know, I feel like I learned something about myself that I didn’t even know. I feel like I just I love being creative, whatever that means, and diving in head first. I’ve never acted a day in my life! So it’s such a cool experience.”
She refused to say anything further on the fact the show might be ending, other than she hopes to come back during upcoming episodes. As her character was the romantic interest of Ryan, one of the bunkhouse boys, who is headed for Texas, it’s unclear how her role will be written into upcoming seasons.
“You know what, I don’t know much, but I have a feeling they’re going to end it the right way, and there’s gonna be more of it,” Wilson noted. “And I’m hoping I’m gonna be back in it!”

Perabo, who joined the show for season four as the supremely annoying Summer Higgins, said that the show’s lead, Kevin Costner, is “so amazing.” Rumors have swirled in the last year that suggest Costner had a falling out with show co-creator Taylor Sheridan, and is looking to exit his role.
“He’s such a movie star and it’s so inspiring to be around an actor like that,” Perabo said of Costner. But that’s not all. “Taylor Sheridan knows to play it really close to the vest, and I know better than to speak outside the ranch, but I’m excited to see what happens next,” she said, cryptically. So it sounds like Costner might not be going anywhere, and neither of these women have any insider information to offer at all. Oh well, I guess we’ll wait and see what happens.
