I’m thinking … Victor Wembanyama is gonna dominate the NBA.
Victor Wembanyama, an athletic 7’4″ big-man who currently plays for French club Metropolitans 92 and is expected to be the No. 1 pick in the 2023 NBA Draft, took a three-pointer during a Sunday game, but this wasn’t your average shot from behind the arc.
Wembanyama missed the shot, however, the 19-year-old sprinted towards the basket, caught the ball while it was in the air like he had just been thrown an alley-oop, and dunked the ball to drop everybody’s jaws in amazement.
And this, ladies and gentlemen, is exactly why he’s going to end up going first in the NBA Draft.

Having a put back dunk off your own step back 3 is some Monstars level basketball

If I knew my Miami Heat was going to be 41-37 on the season and sitting seventh in the Eastern Conference here in April (with a first round exit in the playoffs on the horizon), I would have pushed for us to tank.
I mean, Lord have mercy, just imagine Wembanyama playing next to our current big-man Bam Adebayo.
We still have to do the NBA Draft Lottery, but right now, the Detroit Pistons are lined up first for the top pick in the draft to land Wembanyama, and man, if you’re a Pistons fan, you have to be a little bit nervous for the lottery. With a player like Wembanyama? A player who can easily become a franchise centerpiece and win championships? (RELATED: Former NBA Player Matt Barnes Wants To Get Into Politics)
If I was a Pistons fan, I’d be wanting him badly, and I’m sure they do.
