REPORT: ‘M*A*S*H’ Star Judy Farrell Dead At 84

Famous actress Judy Farrell, best known for her role as Nurse Able in the iconic show, “M*A*S*H,” reportedly died Sunday at the age of 84 after suffering a stroke.

Farrell’s son, Michael, confirmed her death, according to TMZ. The famous actress reportedly suffered a stroke nine days before her death and was in hospital when she passed away, according to the outlet. Michael said Farrell was conscious and alert and was able to squeeze the hands of loved ones who had gathered around her, but she was not able to speak as a result of the stroke, TMZ reported.

Farrell appeared in eight episodes of “M*A*S*H” and starred opposite her first husband, Mike Farrell, who played the role of Captain B.J. Hunnicutt at the time, according to TMZ.  The show also starred Alan Alda as Captain Benjamin “Hawkeye” Pierce.

Farrell’s acting career also included several guest appearances in other noteworthy television shows, including “The Partridge Family,” “Get Smart” and “Quincy, M.E.”

The famous actress also appeared in the films “J.W. Coop,” “Chapter Two” and “Long-Term Relationship.”

She divorced her first husband in 1983 and went on to marry Joe Bratcher, according to TMZ. She is survived by Bratcher and her two children, Michael and Erin, the outlet reported. (RELATED: Celebrating The 40th Anniversary Of ‘MASH’ — One Of The Most Iconic Shows Ever)
