I can feel Jets fans trembling.

Aaron Rodgers being traded to the New York Jets from the Green Bay Packers was supposed to be the biggest blockbuster trade of the 2023 NFL offseason, however, it hasn’t happened. And now there appears to be some regression, with talks between the two teams reportedly stalled and discussions not having happened in “weeks.”

Winning four MVP awards and a Super Bowl ring with the Packers, Aaron Rodgers said a few weeks ago that he intends on playing for the Jets after a trade takes place, but the two teams reportedly haven’t talked about the prospect “for weeks” now, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN.

“Both sides now appear to be dug in,” Schefter reported.

“My understanding is there hasn’t been a whole lot of conversation, if any, over the last couple of weeks.”

If you ask my honest opinion, I still think a deal will get done between Green Bay and New York, and we will see Aaron Rodgers in that green swagger next season, but my Miami Dolphins fandom is loving all of the Jets fans trembling.

And despite what I think, who knows if something will even get done?

This is the New York Jets we’re talking about after all, the same franchise that has historically fallen flat on their face over and over again, and with this Rodgers situation, you have to bring up the Brett Favre fiasco. I’d love to see the Jets screw this up, and quite frankly, they might.
