A fan threw an object at Harry Styles’ face during his concert in Vienna on Saturday, making him the latest victim of this disturbing trend.

Another fan captured the very moment the unidentified object struck the star near his left eye, and posted the video to Twitter. The video shows Styles wincing in pain, and clutching his face with both hands. He seemingly let out a shout from the force of the impact. Styles continued to walk a short distance across the stage with his head down, in obvious pain, before the video cut.

Fans previously pummeled Styles with Skittles during a show in Nov. 2022, according to GQ.

This is just one of many incidents in recent weeks demonstrates a troubling trend in which fans hurl objects at stars performing live.

A concertgoer hit Bebe Rexha in the face with a cell phone that was thrown at her while she performed in New York City, and required four stitches to close the wound above her eye. The perpetrator in this case was arrested.  Not long after that alarming moment, someone from the crowd in Boise, Idaho, threw a bracelet at Kelsea Ballerini, which also hit her in the face.

A sex toy was tossed at Lil Nas X during his show in Stockholm in July, and just prior to Styles’ incident, a fan threw a cell phone right at Drake during a live performance in Chicago. It appeared to hit him in the chest and arm. The artist kept performing and didn’t address the matter publicly. (RELATED: Drake Hit By Object Onstage As Disturbing Trend Continues)

In light of this string of thrown objects, Adele took the stage and cautioned fans this type of behavior wouldn’t be tolerated at her shows.
