Jamie Foxx was spotted in public for the first time, just months after his daughter reported that he had “experienced a medical complication” and his situation seemed dire.

Video footage from Sunday posted online by TMZ, showed the comedian and actor perched on the side of a mega-boat on the Chicago River. The video showed Foxx waving and flashing a peace sign to the paparazzi, seemingly happy to be engaged with fans while relaxing on the water.

Foxx appeared to be accompanied be a few others on the boat.

The Oscar-winner suffered some type of undisclosed medical condition in April, and information pertaining to his medical setback was kept private from the press.  His daughter reported that he was in intensive care and asked for prayers, but no additional medical information was shared. Foxx had not been seen or heard from in months, aside from one social media post thanking fans for their support.

It was previously reported that his family remained by his side during his hospitalization, and remained devoted to supporting his recovery when he attended a rehabilitation center during his recovery process.

There has been much speculation about his condition since word of his health crisis made the headlines. Some celebrities that are close to Foxx have come forward to report they had communicated with him, but they remained tight-lipped about what happened to the star.(RELATED: Mike Tyson’s Slip-Up Suggests Jamie Foxx Had A Stroke)

No official information has been released at this time, and it remains unclear if Foxx has completed his stay at the rehab center, or if this was a day-outing that was part of his recovery process.
