Famous singer Tori Kelly broke her silence Thursday following her frightening collapse Sunday night.

Kelly was out for dinner with friends when she suddenly collapsed, sources close to the singer said. Her friends picked her up and rushed her to the hospital, where doctors discovered she was suffering from a number of blood clots, according to TMZ. The 30-year-old singer addressed her fans with a health update on Twitter.

“Hi friends … as you may have heard, I’m dealing with some unexpected health challenges,” she wrote in a handwritten letter. “It’s been a scary few days but I can feel your prayers [and] can’t stop thinking about you.”

Kelly confirmed her condition is improving, but didn’t disclose any additional medical information. She noted there are still additional tests to be done and hinted that her health crisis hasn’t been completely identified at this point.

“I’m feeling stronger now [and] hopeful but unfortunately there are still some things to uncover,” she continued. “I’m so grateful for the amazing doctors [and] nurses who have been looking after me.”

Kelly shifted her focus to her music, and addressed fans who may be curious about how the medical setback may be affecting her career.

She said that in spite of her health struggles, she remains dedicated to her music.

“Of course I’m heartbroken about all of the things I had planned for this week of releasing my EP, but I know my health must come first,” she wrote to Twitter.

“Until I see you again, I still want you to enjoy a project that represents the happy place I’ve been in the last few years. I won’t let this hurdle prevent the music from being yours on Friday!” (RELATED: Paul Simon Reveals Shocking Health Update)
