The White House spokesman for oversight and investigations dismissed a finding Wednesday by the House Oversight Committee showing that Hunter Biden’s Chinese business associates sent the first son at least $250,000 worth of wires with Joe Biden’s Delaware home listed as the beneficiary address.

Hunter Biden was first paid $10,000 by Wang Xin, a Chinese associate, in July 2019 and another $250,000 was wired to him by Johnathan Li, a different Chinese business associate, in August 2019, the House Oversight Committee found. For both of the wires, President Joe Biden’s address in Wilmington, Delaware, is listed as the beneficiary. Ian Sams, White House spokesman for oversight and investigations, shook the report off, calling the House Republicans’ claims “bananas.” (RELATED: Here’s All The Evidence Connecting Joe Biden To Hunter Biden’s Foreign Business Dealings)

“Imagine them arguing that, if someone stayed at their parents’ house during the pandemic, listed it as their permanent address for work, and got a paycheck, the parents somehow also worked for the employer,” Sams tweeted. “It’s bananas. Yet this is what extreme House Republicans have sunken to.”

Hunter Biden’s failed guilty plea from July confirms that he spent the summer months of 2019 in California when the payments from the Chinese business associates listed his father’s home in Delaware as the beneficiary address. The wire payments were also made after Joe Biden announced he was entering the 2020 presidential race.

“What’s dishonest is you, your rightwing disinformation outfit, and its GOP pals intentionally deceiving people about the role of the address,” Sams tweeted in response to Daily Caller investigative reporter James Lynch, who noted that Hunter Biden was in California the summer of 2019. “Hunter listing his parents’ as his only permanent address during this period of turmoil in his life has long been known. Have a good one.”

Devon Archer, a former business associate of Hunter Biden’s, testified to House Oversight in July on the extent of the Biden family’s foreign business dealings. Archer told the committee the president met up with Li for coffee in Beijing and wrote a letter of recommendation for his daughter’s college application. Li was previously the CEO of BHR Partners, a joint business venture with Hunter Biden’s investment firm Rosemont Seneca Partners and Chinese investment firm Bohai Capital, according to Fox News.

The House Oversight Committee released bank records in August showing that the Bidens and their business associates previously received at least $20 million from Ukrainian, Russian, Chinese, Romanian and Kazakh business associates. Further bank records, IRS whistleblower testimony, Hunter’s failed guilty plea and emails on his abandoned laptop confirm that the first son was in business with CEFC China Energy and State Energy HK, two Chinese firms.

In addition, Hunter Biden, his uncle James Biden and a CEFC associate created Hudson West III, a business entity that brought in about $1 million for Hunter in 2017, his July guilty plea states.

While information continues to be revealed detailing the Biden’s foreign business dealings, the House Ways and Means, Judiciary and Oversight Committees are leading an impeachment inquiry into President Joe Biden’s conduct as vice president related to his son’s foreign business dealings and the IRS whistleblower testimony accusing the Department of Justice (DOJ) of giving Hunter Biden special treatment during its ongoing investigation into his alleged tax and gun offenses.

The first impeachment hearing into President Joe Biden’s conduct is set for Thursday, the House Oversight Committee announced. The committee is going to hear from three expert witnesses about Hunter Biden’s foreign business dealings.

“Extreme House Republicans are pushing out half-baked innuendo and conspiracy theories that yet again show no evidence of wrongdoing by President Biden, just more discredited personal attacks on him and his family, in a sad effort to distract from their chaotic inability to govern that is leading us to the brink of a dangerous government shutdown,” Sams said in a statement to CNN, following the House Oversight Committee’s Wednesday report.
