Frank Biden, the youngest brother of Joe Biden, would interrupt calls during his time with an Illinois-based manufacturing company to speak to then-Vice President Joe Biden, the Wall Street Journal (WSJ) reported.

Frank Biden had weekly calls at an Illinois-based manufacturing company and frequently put his coworkers on hold to speak with “the Big Guy,” a nickname for Joe Biden, according to WSJ. “I’ve got to put you on hold. The Big Guy is calling me,” Frank Biden would say, former co-worker Matthew Brady recalled to the WSJ. “I thought, ‘OK, great, your brother is the vice president,'” Brady added.

Frank Biden used his brother’s January 2021 presidential inauguration to promote his Florida law firm in connection with a lawsuit against Florida sugar farmers, CNBC reported at the time. The lawsuit was announced in June 2019 on the day Joe Biden released his environmental policy agenda for his presidential campaign.

The House Oversight Committee subpoenaed James and Hunter Biden’s personal and business bank records on Thursday as part of its investigation into the Biden family’s foreign business dealings. The Biden family and its business associates brought in more than $24 million from Ukraine, Russia, China, Romania and Kazakhstan, according to a House memo circulated Wednesday.

The Biden family’s foreign business dealings and IRS whistleblower testimony accusing the Department of Justice (DOJ) of giving Hunter Biden special treatment during its tax investigation form the basis of the impeachment inquiry into President Biden.

The House Ways and Means Committee released a trove of documents Wednesday substantiating the IRS whistleblower testimony, including emails, texts, memos, testimony and tax filings.

Hunter Biden’s former business associate James Gilliar sent an email in May 2017 referring to Joe Biden as “the big guy” in a discussion about a potential business deal with Chinese associates.

“10 held by H for the big guy?” Gilliar wrote. Hunter Biden’s former business associate Tony Bobulinski confirmed the nickname was used to describe Joe Biden.
