The White House press corps failed to ask a single question on Friday about the Chinese payments sent to President Joe Biden’s Delaware address.

The House Oversight Committee announced Tuesday that Hunter Biden’s Chinese business associates sent him more than $250,000 worth of wires but listed Joe Biden’s Wilmington home as the beneficiary address.

During Friday’s briefing, not a single reporter asked about the wirings. Reporters from AP, CBS, CNN, Reuters, and NPR were called on. Those who were called on focused their questions mainly on the looming government shutdown and the United Auto Workers strike.

Chinese business associate Wang Xin wired Hunter $10,000 on July 26, 2019, and Jonathan Li wired $250,000 to Hunter on Aug. 2, 2019, according to the House Oversight Committee. Fox News first reported that Joe Biden’s Delaware address was listed as the beneficiary for both wires.

Biden announced his 2020 presidential run before the payments came in from China to his address. Hunter Biden’s guilty plea also confirms he spent the summer of 2019 in California with his current wife while the payments were being sent to Joe Biden’s house.

The House Oversight Committee has also released bank records showing the Biden family and its business associates received more than $20 million from Chinese, Ukrainian, Russian, Romanian and Kazakh business associates. Joe Biden lied during the October 2020 presidential debate when he said that Hunter never made money from China. Biden also claimed he had no knowledge of his son’s business dealings.

Hunter’s former associate Rob Walker told the FBI, however, that Joe Biden apparently met with Chinese business associates as part of CEFC in May 2017. IRS Whistleblower Gary Shapley later confirmed Walker’s statement during a July hearing before Congress.
