NBC News White House correspondent Kelly O’Donnell asked Thursday if President Joe Biden intends to visit a mosque following Hamas’ terrorist attacks in Israel.

O’Donnell addressed the question to White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre amid the ongoing war between Hamas and Israel. The attacks have killed 1,200 Israelis thus far.

“He [Biden] attends Catholic mass every week. Has he expressed any desire to go to a synagogue or to a mosque for that matter, or to have any kind of faith experience in light of this?” O’Donnell asked.

“Don’t have anything to share as the president visiting a synagogue or a mosque,” Jean-Pierre answered. “Obviously, at the top of the briefing, I mentioned how we are there for all faiths who are potentially going through some really difficult times in this moment, and certainly when it comes to — the question I was asked about homeland — we’re certainly gonna monitor and keep track, but we are here for the Jewish community. We’re here for the Arab community. We’re here for the Muslim community. And certainly it is also important for the president for people to feel protected and to feel safe.”

“And that’s what his Homeland Security is doing, his advisers here. That’s why he met with them today to get an update, and certainly we’re gonna stay on top of that,” she concluded. Supporters of Palestine have gathered globally to protest Israel.

During a Monday demonstration, a crowd chanted “F*ck the Jews” and “Gas the Jews” outside of the Sydney Opera House in Australia as the building illuminated the colors of the Israeli flag.

Hamas terrorists have reportedly slaughtered 40 Israeli babies, with some being beheaded, and have burned Israeli people alive, per Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. Images have shown women bleeding after being repeatedly raped by the terrorists. Hamas members have also murdered parents in front of their children.

The death toll of Americans killed in the Hamas attack climbed to 27 as of Thursday, White House national security spokesperson John Kirby announced at the beginning of the briefing.
