Los Angeles Police Officers believe the cause of famous actor Alan Ruck’s car crash may be due to an issue with technology.

Police are investigating Ruck’s Nov. 1 crash that resulted in his Rivian R1T truck smashing into the side of a pizza parlor’s building. The building crumbled around the truck that wound up half inside, and half outside of the restaurant establishment, according to video footage of the scene provided by TMZ. It is now believed that some sort of technical issue, or Ruck’s inability to handle the truck’s technology, may have been the cause of the collision.

The actual cause of the crash remains under investigation, but the working theory is that Ruck was either unable to manage the truck due to its advanced technical features, or that the technology somehow malfunctioned.

The electric truck features three all-wheel drive systems; Dual Motor, Performance Dual-Motor, and Quad-Moto. Depending on which setting and driving mode is selected, the powerful truck can quickly lurch forward, according to TMZ.

The “Succession” star said he simply has no idea what led to the collision, according to TMZ.

People who were at the scene at the time of Ruck’s collision have reported they did not see any signs that would suggest he was distracted, intoxicated, or under the influence in any way.

Law enforcement officials have deemed this to be an accident and are no longer investigating Ruck for his handling of the vehicle at the time of the crash. (RELATED:  REPORT: Pete Davidson Crashes His Car Again, Second Time In Months)

Despite the dramatic way the truck crashed into the restaurant, there were no reports of any injuries in connection with this collision.
