Rick Harrison, known for starring in the show “Pawn Stars,” spoke out Monday against the border crisis after his son died from a fentanyl overdose.

Adam Harrison died Jan. 19 in Las Vegas, Nevada, at the age of 39. Rick addressed the fentanyl epidemic that has plagued the U.S. and continues to wreak havoc on people of all ages and walks of life.

“The fentanyl crisis in this country must be taken more seriously,” Rick said.

“It seems it is just flowing over the borders and nothing is being done about it. We must do better,” he said, according to the New York Post.

Rick lashed out against the failure to combat the distribution of fentanyl at the border and the devastating effects that has on society as a whole.

Trafficking of fentanyl has primarily occurred at the southwest border, where ABC News said an estimated total of 90% of the drug seized by U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) is found.

Many have called for increased CBP officers to be stationed at the borders, primarily in the southwest, according to ABC News.
