Bryhana Monegain Sues 50 Cent For Injuries Suffered When He Threw Microphone

Bryhana Monegain, radio host for Los Angeles-based Power 106, sued 50 Cent, alleging she suffered severe, permanent injuries when he threw a microphone that hit her.

Monegain alleged she was hit in the head when 50 Cent threw his microphone off the stage during his Final Lap Tour in the Crypto.com Arena, on Aug. 3, 2023. The radio host said she required hospitalization after being hit in the head, and noted she was also hit in the wrist and face during this incident, according to TMZ. She’s suing for lost wages during her recovery as well as medical expenses, and other damages, according to TMZ.

The radio host said she suffered a concussion and a forehead laceration, among other bumps and bruises after being hit by the microphone.

Video footage of the incident was shared widely online, with fans capturing the microphone toss in a variety of different angles. The clip showed 50 Cent angrily chucking a microphone after realizing it had malfunctioned during his show.

In addition, images of Monegain’s bloodied head also made their rounds on social media, and some photographs captured the initial moments when she was treated by medical professionals in the back of an ambulance.

An attorney spoke on 50 Cent’s behalf and conveyed that the rapper did not intend to harm anyone by his actions. The rapper evaded criminal charges concerning this incident, according to TMZ. (RELATED: Police Drop Criminal Battery Charge Against Cardi B: REPORT)

Monegain has since returned to work as an afternoon radio host personality but claims she continues to suffer from emotional distress as a result of the incident that transpired.
