This just spells a circus clown-show.

Speaking at a press conference Wednesday at the NFL Draft scouting combine in Indianapolis, New York Jets general manager Joe Douglas stated that both quarterback Zach Wilson and his representatives have been given permission to look for a trade.

“Where we are exactly, we’ve given them permission to talk to other teams about a trade,” said Douglas, according to NBC Pro Football Talk. “I’m going to circle back with [Wilson’s agent] at some point, either this week or next week, just to see how those conversations are going. But other than that, there’s nothing else to report.”

In the 2021 NFL Draft, Wilson was reportedly selected with the No. 2 overall pick by the New York Jets. In three seasons, he’s only completed 57% of his passes, throwing for 6,293 yards and 23 touchdowns, with more interceptions on his stat sheet at 25, the outlet reported. With Wilson as their starting quarterback, the Jets have reportedly put together a 12-21 record.

Why do I have a feeling that this news is the beginning of a drama-filled trade saga?

Oh, that’s right, because it involves the combination of the New York Jets, Zach Wilson and a trade. Those three elements spell such a disastrous situation. Like, don’t get me wrong, it’s actually quite a simple process to get all of this done, but I just have a feeling that both the Jets and the Wilson party will find a way to screw this whole thing up.

And on top of that, we’ll probably have Aaron Rodgers in the middle of it running his mouth, as usual. (RELATED: Tyreek Hill Says He Wants To Fight Jake Paul, Blasts Him For Not Being That Tough)

Get ready, ladies and gentlemen, to see some New York Jets football!
