A 40-year-old English singer and songwriter adopted “a possessed clown doll” after claiming her “ex-husband,” a ghost, cheated on her, SWNS reported Monday.

Brocarde, the mystical lyricist, claimed the adoption was making Edwardo, her former ghost husband who lived in Victorian times, jealous, the outlet reported.

Brocarde alleges that since the breakup, Edwardo has been possessive and stalks her, SWNS reported. She came across the clown after “connecting” with the entity during a night at The Clown Motel In Nevada.

“[I]n this case this clown doll had once been owned by or come into contact with a man who worked as a clown,” Brocarde said.

The Clown Motel advertises itself as “America’s Scariest Motel” on its website and says it has accumulated “over 5000 clowns.”

“The Motel is fascinating as many murders have been reported on the site over the years, and the circumstances of a lot of deaths have been unpleasant. It’s believed that there are dark forces at work in that area as it sits near a portal,” Brocarde told the outlet.

The motel agreed to give her the doll she claimed was possessed, SWNS reported. She then returned to England from her American tour and started a paranormal investigation around the clown. (RELATED: Archaeologists Uncover Why 17th-Century Child Was Padlocked To His Grave)

“I can instantly tell when Edwardo has a point to make. His energy is very powerful … His presence has been very manageable these days and I only see him from time to time. He does not like the clown, though. He watches him and I keep finding the clown by the door. [Subtlety] is not Edwardo’s strong point,” Brocarde told the outlet. The paranormal-minded singer added that she did not plan on marrying the clown, “although that would be funny,” and that her former ghost husband has nothing to worry about.

She also offered an alternative explanation about this feeling of overprotectiveness. “I know the clown is possessed, so perhaps Edwardo has picked up on some bad energy and is just looking out for me,” she told the outlet. Brocarde mentioned that she shares a love of theater and acting with the clown, SWNS reported.
