Surveillance video caught the moment when a suspected masked gunman fatally shot a man standing outside a Philadelphia store Saturday night, FOX29 reported.

Police said the alleged shooter appeared to use a high-powered weapon, like an AK-47, to fire at least 15 rounds into the 23-year-old victim at point-blank range, according to FOX29.

The video obtained by FOX29 shows the victim standing on a street corner apparently checking his cell-phone before the suspected masked gunman suddenly appears a few feet in front of him and opens fire. The gunman then turns and flees the scene. (RELATED: Video Appears To Show Gunfight Between Alleged Teen Shooter, Deputies)

The victim, who was riddled with bullets, was rushed to a local hospital where he succumbed to his wounds, FOX29 reported.

A nearby neighbor told FOX29 that she was sitting on her porch with two young children when she heard the gunshots.

“It was just really horrifying because it scared my baby to death,” she said. “We heard this cannon sound and it sounded like 9 shots or better and it was just going on and people were scattering.”

The shooting happened only one block from where a local police car was on patrol, something West Philadelphia barber Kevin Richmond questioned, according to FOX29.

“How do you got a cop right here cop right here (sic) and a man pull out an AK and kill somebody right there, how is that?” Richmond asked. “I don’t understand that.”

Philadelphia police are reviewing surveillance video and the department’s Shooting Investigation Group is leading the investigation.
