We might have Achane AND Mostert out Thursday night?!
My Miami Dolphins square off against our rival Buffalo Bills on the upcoming edition of Amazon Prime Video’s “Thursday Night Football” and you would think I would be more excited for this game. But it’s kind of hard when we don’t have much time to rest up, and on top of that, we’re currently dealing with two key injuries that could significantly slow down our offense against Buffalo.
Prior to the Phins‘ Week 2 action, both star running backs De’Von Achane (ankle) and Raheem Mostert (chest) were listed as “did not practice” (DNP) on Miami’s injury report Monday. (RELATED: Commanders Drop Their Kicker Cade York Like A Hot Potato After Missing Two Field Goals Against Buccaneers)
In the Dolphins‘ season-opening contest, taking on the Jacksonville Jaguars, the leading rusher for Miami was running back Jeff Wilson Jr. Against the Jags, he tallied 26 yards off five carries. With Achane in particular, he wasn’t effective in the rushing game. However, he left his mark when it came to the air. Grabbing a total of seven receptions (catching 100% of his seven targets), Achane recorded 76 receiving yards.
In the 2023 season, Mostert and Achane collectively ran over a whopping 1,800 yards and also punched in 26 touchdowns.
The #Dolphins listed RBs De’Von Achane (ankle) and Raheem Mostert (chest) as DNP on their estimated injury report today. They face the #Bills on Thursday night.

And to make things a bit more nerve-racking for me, my fantasy football team (Miami Sharks, 1-0) faces off against the squad who scored the most points in my league in Week 1 … intense week!
