Bobby Brown has reportedly decided to stop life support for his daughter with Whitney Houston on the anniversary of Houston’s death.
Family sources said that after doctors told Bobby on Feb. 5 that there was little left they could do for Bobbi Kristina, who has been in a medically induced coma at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta since she was found face down in her bathtub Jan. 31, he has realized “there is no hope,” TMZ reports.
Feb. 11 marks the three-year anniversary of Houston’s death. The singer accidentally drowned in a bathtub in the Beverly Hilton Hotel. Though unconfirmed, Whitney Houston’s mother Cissy allegedly wants Bobbi Kristina taken off life support the same day her mother died. (RELATED: Doctors To Bobby Brown: ‘It’s Time’)
Bobbi Kristina was found by her longtime boyfriend Nick Gordon and friend Maxwell Lomas, who called 911. Police are investigating because she has injuries to her face and mouth. Gordon has a history of domestic violence, Page Six reports.
As Bobbi Kristina was in the hospital, Brown’s current wife Alicia Etheredge announced she was four months pregnant with the couple’s second child. On Feb. 4 doctors let Brown know his daughter was “pretty much not going to make it” and left the decision about removing life support up to him. (RELATED: Bobby Brown Issues Statement On Daughter)
