Although it seems like everyone just quit chiming in to sing “Let It Go,” “Frozen Fever” — the short film following “Frozen” — is already here, and it premieres Friday. There’s just one problem. It seems like the short has a gross new character: Elsa’s boogers. The poster features Elsa and Anna, who are surrounded by these teeny adorable snowballs, with Olaf in the middle clutching two of them.
However, these “snowgies” are actually the result of Elsa’s severe cold and the snot that comes with it. When she sneezes, a mischievous snowgie pops out. Gross. Producer Peter Del Vecho said the dried nasal mucus characters didn’t start off having a big role in the film. “We realized we wanted Olaf to remain pure,” he said. “So quickly it evolved into these fun little snowballs we call ‘snowgies’ that bring a lot of mischief and fun to the short.” Elsa and her boogers take on the big screen starting Friday, March 13, before the remake of the Disney classic “Cinderella.”
