Donald Trump is engaging in “political arson,” Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton said during a campaign event in St. Louis on Saturday.

“The ugly, divisive rhetoric we are hearing from Donald Trump and the encouragement of violence and aggression is wrong, and it’s dangerous,” Clinton told supporters at an event at O’Fallon Recreation Park Complex.

The remarks come a day after Trump canceled a rally in Chicago due to safety concerns. Fights broke out among Trump supporters and hundreds of anti-Trump protesters — many of whom were supporters of Clinton’s primary opponent, Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders. “If you play with matches, you’re going to start a fire you can’t control. That’s not leadership. That’s political arson,” Clinton said Saturday.
The Democratic front-runner also lamented what she said was a “tide of bullying and bigotry and blustering that is going on in our political system.”
“If you see bigotry, oppose it. If you see violence, condemn it. And if you see a bully, stand up to him,” Clinton said.
