Anna Faris spoke out for the first time since announcing that she and Chris Pratt were separating, hinting about what might have gone wrong, the Daily Mail reported Wednesday.
“Life is too short to be in relationships where you feel this isn’t fully right or somebody doesn’t have your back, or somebody doesn’t fully value you,” the 40-year-old actress said during the podcast My Favorite Murder.

“Don’t be afraid to feel your independence if things aren’t right,” she added. “I made that mistake, I think, a little bit, like ‘I’m checking my relationship off the list’ and if that would be the final piece of advice I could give you, that would be know your worth, know your independence.”
“There are so many people out there, there’s so much life to experience. I hope you get to live it all and experience a whole lot of people,” she continued.
Faris also thanked her fans for their support on her own podcast Unqualified.
“Hey, dear listeners,” Faris explained. “I just want to thank you all so much for all the love I’ve been receiving, and I truly love you.”
Earlier this month, the celebrity couple shocked fans when they announced in joint statements on social media that after eight years of marriage they were separating.
“We tried hard for a long time, and we’re really disappointed. Our son has two parents who love him very much and for his sake we went to keep this situation as private as possible moving forward. We still love each other and will always cherish our time together,” part of the statement shared by the actress read.
