Corey Lewandowski slammed Nancy Pelosi Thursday for saying President Trump’s State of the Union address “brings tears to the eyes of the Statue of Liberty.”

“I would say confusing. It was worse than that. It was dangerous what he said last night and it has instilled fear. As I say over and over, what he is doing brings tears to the eyes of the Statue of Liberty,” Pelosi said.

Lewandowski, a former Trump campaign manager, criticized those comments on Fox News Thursday.

“What the president did was said ‘Let’s stand up for our country. Let’s celebrate the fact that African-American unemployment is the lowest in recorded history. Let’s celebrate the fact our economy is growing. Let’s celebrate the fact that we are continuing to be the greatest country in the world and we’ll have fair trade practices and we’re going to crack down on the animals of MS-13 and let’s celebrate the people who he brought to the State of the Union.'” (RELATED: ‘I Recognized Jerusalem’ — Trump Receives YUGE Applause When He Brings Up This Accomplishment [VIDEO])

“If that brings tears to the eyes of Nancy Pelosi, or the Statue of Liberty, then our country is so far gone awry that we have to question the very fabric of what we do here every day,” Lewandowski said.

“Because what President Trump outlined in that State of the Union is not only the success that he had in the first year, but the continued problems we have, which is MS-13, which is illegal immigration, which is those people in the audience that he brought there and told their story. If Nancy Pelosi has tears in her eyes because a 12-year-old boy is taking the American flag and putting it on the graves of American soldiers that don’t have them, then shame on her.” (RELATED: MSNBC Host: Why Doesn’t Trump Give A ‘Hat Tip’ To Obama For Good Economy?
