A.J. McCarron won his grievance against the Cincinnati Bengals and is now an unrestricted free agent.
This means that he is about to get paid a ton of money despite only playing meaningful minutes in five games throughout his NFL career.

Remember the name Jimmy Garoppolo? He is a San Francisco 49ers quarterback who played fewer than 10 games and signed the biggest contract in NFL history a few days ago.
It’s going to be very entertaining watching McCarron head down a similar path. The former Alabama star won’t be getting record money by any stretch of the imagination, but he could easily get himself at least $15 million a year, judging by the current quarterback market.
That’s the floor for him in my mind. Mike Glennon signed a $45 million deal last season, and it’s pretty much the exact same situation. I wouldn’t be surprised if some team is dumb enough to give McCarron $20 million a year. There are teams out there who are super desperate. There is no doubt in my mind that he’s about to be severely overpaid, and it’s going to be so funny when it turns out there was a real reason why he couldn’t unseat Andy Dalton. Now, we wait to see which team is about to make a major mistake.
