YouTube has placed a video review of a fast food chicken product in restricted mode and added a disclaimer before the video that it might be offensive to audiences.
The video, titled “Checking Out Popeyes New Rip’n Chick’n!” is a benign positive review of Popeye’s new “‘Rip’n Chick’n” product. There’s no swearing or offensive imagery. The video is merely a review of the product, but it was restricted by YouTube, apparently some time Saturday.
When audiences first visit the video, published on June 1, they’re greeted with a disclaimer that reads, “The following content has been identified by the YouTube community as inappropriate or offensive to some audiences. Viewer discretion is advised.”

While one person speculated that the video may have been restricted because of the word “rip” in the title, the video creator, The Report Of The Week, said in a tweet on Saturday that it was “manually reviewed and flagged” and that he wasn’t able to appeal the decision.
“What was so offending and immoral about a Popeyes review? I’m just as lost as you are!” he added.
YouTube’s response team on Twitter saw The Report Of The Week’s complaint, and tweeted a reply Saturday saying, “Thanks for reaching out to us. We have shared this with our team for a second opinion.” YouTube replied thirty minutes later on Saturday but at the time of publication, the video is still in restricted mode.
The Report Of The Week has almost a million subscribers and the video has over 130,000 views at the time of publication. He gave Popeye’s Ripin’ Chick’n a 7.5 out of 10. (RELATED: YouTube Censors Candidate Who Is Campaigning With A Deportation Bus To Round Up Illegals)
