The Green Bay Packers reportedly had a plane on standby Sunday night for punter JK Scott.

Scott’s wife Sydney is pregnant, and there’s a chance she could have gone into labor during the Packers loss to the Patriots Sunday night. If that had actually happened, he would have been whisked away on a plane by the Packers, and somebody else would have punted.

I trash the Packers on a very regular basis. I absolutely hate everything about them and Aaron Rodgers. They’re the worst organization in the NFL in my eyes, and it’s not even close. (RELATED: NFL Week 9 Wrap Up: Here Are The Best Moments You May Have Missed)

Having said that, this is an awesome move for a player who might have needed to get to his wife quickly. I don’t know the specifics of Scott’s deal, but I’d be shocked if this was mandatory. This sounds like the team was going above and beyond.

I guess even the worst of organizations can still have a little good in them? Of course, they still got beat by the Patriots. So, that makes their kind gesture a little easier to swallow.

There’s no doubt I still despise the Packers and everything they represent. That’ll never change, but this is a power move and a kind gesture from the organization.
