The fourth episode of the final “Game of Thrones” season is only a few days away, and we now have some photos of the action ahead.
The photos released by HBO feature Cersei with Euron, Danaerys and Missandei appearing to plot a battle, Jon Snow looking horrified, and Sansa and Arya overlooking the carnage from the battle of Winterfell. Judging from the photos, I’m guessing we’re going to get a lot of scheming and planning in the new episode. The war against the undead is over and the war against Cersei is about to begin.
Naturally, there’s going to be some serious battle plans that need to be drawn up. The biggest question in my mind is who do Dany and Jon even have left to fight? (RELATED: The Battle Of Winterfell Was Epic In Latest ‘Game Of Thrones‘ Episode ‘The Long Night’)
The Dothraki were utterly decimated and it’s unclear how many of the Unsullied remain. She’s not exactly marching with a massive army anymore, but having access to dragons certainly must up her odds of taking the throne.
The next episode is nearly an hour and a half long. Will we get a massive battle? I wouldn’t bet on it. I think this is going to be more of a moving the chess pieces kind of episode.
We might get hit with a massive cliffhanger, but there’s a lot of distance to be covered before the fighting can resume.
