Kate Middleton and Prince William were “delighted” to hear the news that Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s child had finally arrived and can hardly wait to meet him.

“The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are delighted with the news of the birth of The Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s son today, and look forward to meeting the latest addition to the family,” a message shared on Kensington Palace’s Instagram account read Monday. It came following the highly anticipated news Monday that the Duchess of Sussex finally gave birth to her and the Duke’s son in the morning hours.

“We are pleased to announce that Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Sussex welcomed their firstborn child in the early morning on May 6th, 2019. Their Royal Highnesses’ son weighs 7lbs. 3oz,” the post shared on the former “Suits” actress and husband’s social media account read, with the words, “It’s a boy.”

On Tuesday, Prince Harry‘s older brother, Prince William also shared his thoughts about his brother finally becoming a father and said he was “absolutely thrilled,” per People magazine.(RELATED: Report: Meghan Markle And Kate Middleton’s Alleged Feud Really Between Prince Harry And Prince William)

The duke said he was “looking forward to seeing them in the next few days when things have quieted down.”

“I’m very pleased and glad to welcome my brother to the sleep deprivation society that is parenting,” he added.

Now we wait to see pictures of Markle and Prince Harry’s little boy and find out the name of the newest member of the royal family. Which will hopefully happen in the next few days!
