The XFL begins in less than two months, and Johnny Manziel still isn’t on a roster.

The teams have been set since the draft, and all the main quarterbacks have been assigned. Yet, Manziel isn’t in the league. (RELATED: David Hookstead Is The True King In The North When It Comes To College Football)

I don’t know what’s going on, but the XFL has to sign Manziel. The league just has to. Cardale Jones is good and all.

There’s nothing wrong with the former Ohio State star being the most notable guy in the league, but he’s not like Manziel.

Johnny Football moves the needle in a way nobody else can for the XFL. The fact he’s not on a roster right now is mind-boggling to me.

The only realistic option in my eyes is that the Texas A&M Heisman-winner doesn’t want to play football anymore, which I find very hard to believe.

It just doesn’t make sense to me at all that Vince McMahon’s league hasn’t signed him up. It doesn’t make any sense.

Does the league not want attention? There is not another realistic option on the table for the XFL that can generate headlines like Manziel does.

I guess we’ll see what happens, but this is just such a weird move.
