Ohio State football coach Ryan Day is ready to make whatever changes are necessary during the coronavirus pandemic.

The virus has flipped the world of sports into absolute carnage and chaos. Nobody knows the exact impact it’ll have on football, but the man leading the Buckeyes is ready to roll with the punches. (RELATED: David Hookstead Is The True King In The North When It Comes To College Football)

Day said the following during a Wednesday phone call with the media, according to ESPN:

Any football is better than no football. We’ll do whatever we need to do. We’ll make it work — whatever they tell us the parameters are — and we’ll adapt. And then we’ll play. With this time, there’s a lot of unique situations, so we’re OK with adapting. We’d love to play the whole season — we’re expecting to play the whole season — but if that’s what happens, we’ll figure it out.

This is the attitude everybody needs to have about the upcoming football season. Any other attitude is likely not productive and unnecessary.

Look, there’s a real chance that big changes will be made to the upcoming football season. Welcome to the reality of sports in 2020.

The only way we’re going to get through this is if we’re adaptable, flexible and willing to do whatever is necessary to make it.

We don’t have time for complaining, negativity and people who are part of the problem instead of the solution.

It’s that simple, and Day has the correct outlook. You know he’s onto something when a loyal Wisconsin fan is giving him credit.

Together, we will win the war against coronavirus, and we’ll do it as college football fans standing shoulder-to-shoulder.

On the field, I will cheer against Day with every ounce of my soul. During this fight, I will promise to walk into battle with him.
