The Arizona Cardinals expect quarterback Kyler Murray to take a huge step forward this upcoming season.

Murray had an outstanding rookie season after being the first overall choice in the 2019 NFL draft, and the team is now only expecting more from him. (RELATED: David Hookstead Is The True King In The North When It Comes To College Football)

General manager Steve Keim told Mike Tirico the following in part Tuesday about the young quarterback, according to ProFootballTalk:

The athleticism is off the charts. I think he’s even a better pure passer than people have anticipated, but the thing that’s gonna separate him is the ability to process, to see things, to make good decisions, get the ball out of his hands, don’t take so many sacks. I think those are the areas that you’re going to see him grow in 2020.

Murray exceeded all expectations in 2019. The Cardinals didn’t have an outstanding season, but he proved he can play under Kliff Kingsbury.

The former Oklahoma star and Heisman winner is a freak of nature athletically, which makes up for his small stature.

He’s lightning quick, can throw the ball beautifully and knows how to extend plays with his feet. As the position evolves, he’s everything you look for in a dual-threat quarterback.

Now, he needs to take that next step forward if the Cardinals want to have a shot at the playoffs. Luckily for Murray, they’re loading up on talent.

DeAndre Hopkins and him could be one of the most dangerous duos in all of football.

Something tells me Murray is in for a huge 2020 season. It should be a lot of fun to watch.
