NFL legend Brett Favre thinks Colin Kaepernick and Pat Tillman are very similar.

In an interview with TMZ Sports, the Green Bay Packers legend said of the former 49ers quarterback, “I can only think of right off the top of my head, Pat Tillman is another guy that did something similar, and we regard him as a hero. So, I’d assume that hero status will be stamped with Kaepernick as well.” (RELATED: David Hookstead Is The True King In The North When It Comes To College Football)

Favre also said Kaep should get another shot in the league. You can watch his full comments below.

I like Brett Favre and I think he’s a cool guy who obviously knows a ton about football. Having said that, this is an earthquake of a take by the Super Bowl champion.

Pat Tillman and Colin Kaepernick are similar? Yeah, not at all, my friends.

Colin Kaepernick refused to stand for the national anthem, wore pig socks, compared cops to slave catchers, claimed they can murder people with impunity and get paid leave, and praised Fidel Castro.

Pat Tillman left the NFL as one of the best players in the league to join the Army, and he was later killed by friendly fire in Afghanistan.

I’m failing to see how the situations are similar at all.

Pat Tillman is absolutely an American hero. He gave up fame and fortune to serve his country after 9/11. Kaepernick took a knee during the anthem and then did a lot of dumb stuff afterwards.

They’re not even close to being the same, and it’s offensive to think they are.

As much as I like Favre, he couldn’t be more wrong on this one.
