There Is No Chance I’m Going To Be Sober On Election Night

We’re a day out from the election, and I plan on being heavily intoxicated Tuesday night.

Let me be crystal clear with everyone. I don’t care who you’re voting for. I don’t care if you think Donald Trump is the greatest President ever or if you’re going to the polls for Joe Biden. It makes no difference to me. (RELATED: David Hookstead Is The True King In The North When It Comes To College Football)

What I do care about is riding this ride we call life, and right now, this ride is set to go off of the rails.

Right now in Washington D.C., the city is being boarded up in anticipation of chaos Tuesday night. Yes, you read that sentence correctly.

We’re not even at the point of election day, and the city is already being prepped for carnage and anarchy. 2020 just keeps sending the hits.

For all of those reasons and more, I plan on hitting the booze hard once election night rolls around. In 2016, the party went until 2016 and things were relatively chill. It was a historic and wild night, but the vibe was good.

That’s very much not the sense I’m getting now. It feels like we’re in for a roller coaster of an evening, and I’ll be damned if I’m sober for it.

It’s like the sinking boat scene in “Wolf of Wall Street.” If you think I’m going down sober, then you just don’t know me.

The only question left is whether or not I want to journey out into the streets from my secure location to witness whatever happens firsthand?

I haven’t made a call on that yet, but I’m damn sure going to be drinking a ton. Once the sun goes down and the results start rolling in, we’re cracking beers the rest of the night.

After all, do you want to tell your kids in 30 years that you sat Tuesday out and got a lot of rest?

So, get your beer on ice and get ready to saddle up because we’re in for a wild time Tuesday night, and I hope you’re all as excited as I am.
