Ohio State beating Penn State 38-25 this past Saturday got some solid TV ratings.

According to ShowBuzzDaily.com, the highly-anticipated Big 10 showdown averaged an impressive 6.534 million viewers on ABC. That was good enough to make it the most-watched game of the weekend. (RELATED: David Hookstead Is The True King In The North When It Comes To College Football)

The second most-watched game of the weekend was Clemson vs. Boston College with an average of 4.376 million viewers.

I’m not surprised at all that the Buckeyes beating the Nittany Lions put up such solid TV ratings last Saturday.

It was the toughest regular season the Buckeyes are going to have, and it might have been the only chance for OSU to notch a close game before the B1G title game.

While Penn State didn’t get the job done, it’s clear that millions and millions of people were excited to tune in for the action.

You all know that big ratings for college football warm my heart!

Hopefully, the great ratings continue to roll the rest of the season.
