Actor Ben Affleck revealed that he doesn’t like marijuana after he had a dissociative panic attack from smoking at age 15.

Affleck made the revelation in the new book, “Alright, Alright, Alright: The Oral History of Richard Linklater’s Dazed and Confused,” according to an article published Tuesday by Page Six. Affleck played a small role in the movie, the outlet reported.

“I had a bad experience with marijuana at 15. I had a dissociative panic attack,” Affleck said. “So I only smoked weed if everyone else was smoking and I had to sort of Bill Clinton it and fake it. I didn’t really like marijuana.”

“I also wasn’t a very heavy drinker then,” he added. (RELATED: Ben Affleck Opens Up About How Alcoholism Almost Ruined His Family)

Affleck admitted he went on to become an alcoholic much later in life.

“I became an alcoholic much much later and I’m in recovery now, so that was a whole different time,” Affleck said. “I was a little nervous, like should we be drinking before we’re working tomorrow? Some people were actually drinking and stoned at work.”

If he was turned off from smoking due to a dissociative panic attack, maybe something mental health wise will happen with his alcoholism so he can finally break out of this vicious cycle. I’d love to see Affleck completely sober and healthy again.

He’s such a great actor and deserves so much.
