The Michigan vs. Ohio State football game is reportedly trending in a positive direction.

There have been serious concerns about whether or not the game between the Wolverines and Buckeyes would happen as Michigan battles some coronavirus issues. (RELATED: David Hookstead Is The True King In The North When It Comes To College Football)

However, it sounds like everything is on the right track. According to Pete Thamel, there is “optimism” in Ann Arbor that the game will happen, and Michigan is “preparing to practice.”

It looks like the B1G might not have to change the rules after all. The belief is that the conference will do whatever is necessary to get Ohio State into the Big 10 title game.

Changes will have to be made if the Michigan game is canceled because the Buckeyes will only have played six games.

However, if UM and OSU play as scheduled Saturday, then OSU will meet the minimum without any issues.

Judging from Thamel’s report, it sounds like Ohio State will take the field as planned and punch a ticket to the B1G championship.

If the game does happen, it’ll kick at 12:00 EST on Fox. It should be a blowout, but I’m still going to enjoy it!
