Joy Behar said Tuesday that she felt sorry for Vice President Mike Pence and the role he had to play with regard to certifying the results of the 2020 election.

Behar joined “The View” co-host Whoopi Goldberg to discuss whether President Donald Trump’s base was likely to follow other Republicans or to stand with Trump. (RELATED: ‘That Is So Nasty’: Meghan McCain Fires Back At Joy Behar In Heated Exchange)

“Trump’s the only one. He has like a negative evil charisma,” Behar replied, arguing that other Republicans did not have quite the same effectiveness because they were all “boring.”

“Mike Pence is boring, let’s face it,” Behar added, turning her attention to the vice president. “And I feel sorry for Mike. He’s like all these other politicians. If you kiss his butt, Trump’s butt, he gives you a medal. You know what I mean. If you don’t kiss his butt, you’re toast. Poor Pence is in the position of being toast. He has to pull that thing out of the envelope and say and the baby daddy is … That’s what I’m waiting for.”

Meghan McCain jumped in then to ask whether or not a “medal” from Trump would really hold any meaning going forward as the younger members of the Republican Party began to come forward and make names for themselves.

“There’s going to be a younger, newer coalition. I think Josh Hawley is 40. These are young new blood coming up. We’ll see if Trump means anything anymore,” McCain explained.

“I believe when Trump is a regular senior citizen which is what he has been, but he has power, he will lose his mojo,” Behar replied.
