Netflix’s new movie “Good on Paper” looks like it might actually be good.

The plot of the rom-com from the streaming giant, according to the trailer’s YouTube description, is, “After years of putting her career first, a stand-up comic meets a guy who seems perfect: smart, nice, successful… and possibly too good to be true. Give the trailer a watch below. It might surprise you.

Generally speaking, I hate rom-coms. I think they’re incredibly stupid and rarely entertaining. That might be a rare opinion these days, but I stand by it.

Most rom-coms absolutely suck.

Having said that, as I’ve gotten older and my heart has softened up a shade, I’ll watch one if I’m really being pushed to.

However, it better be damn good. Luckily for “Good on Paper,” it looks interesting. The concept of a guy faking his entire background provides for lots of content.

So, if you’re looking for a change of pace with your significant other, “Good on Paper” might be just for you! You can find it on Netflix starting June 23. It might not be my usual bag, but I’ll probably check it out. Maybe it’ll surprise me!
