“The Card Counter” looks like it’s going to be a great film.
The plot of the film, according to the trailer’s YouTube description, is: “A card shark encounters an angry young man who’s seeking revenge against a military colonel.” (REVIEW: ‘Westworld’ Season 3 Ends With The Possible Deaths Of Multiple Characters)
The trailer for the film is incredibly intense and should set expectations very high. Give it a watch below.
I can only speak for myself here, but I think “The Card Counter” looks absolutely outstanding. Clearly Oscar Isaac’s character has some kind of very dark past, and it seems to be implied that he tortured people.
Not only did he just torture people, but he ended up being the fall guy for the whole thing. Now, he might be on the hunt for revenge.
Yeah, sounds more than interesting enough to demand my attention.
Also, the cast is absolutely loaded with great talent. Isaac is joined by Tye Sheridan, Tiffany Haddish and Willem Dafoe.
All four main cast members are solid actors, and Sheridan is widely viewed as one of the best young talents in all of Hollywood.
