The former basketball player won the national title with Baylor this past season. Now, he’s taking a crack at playing pro football.

Will Vital be able to cut it in the NFL? I have no idea, and I’d guess he’s a long shot to ever see the field.
However, getting on a practice squad is the first step towards making the active roster, and he’s already accomplished that much.
Thank you Basketball you gave me everything and created opportunities for me. Time for a new chapter #NFL🙏🏾

What I do know beyond a shadow of a doubt is that Vital has the physical size to play in the NFL. He was listed at 6’5″ and 250 pounds during his time playing college basketball.
That’s a big man! That’s a person with substantial size, which is what you need if you want to play TE in the NFL.
It should be interesting to see how the basketball national champion does in the NFL!
