First Lady Jill Biden was heckled Wednesday as she walked into an ice cream shop in New Haven, Connecticut, with Democratic Connecticut Gov. Ned Lamont and U.S. Secretary of Education Miguel Cardona.

“Your husband’s the worst president we’ve ever had!” One man yelled at Biden as she made her way to the shop, as seen in the video. “Thank you!” Biden called back, waving to the small crowd of people.

“You owe us gas money! You owe us gas money! You owe us gas money!” The heckler continued. Biden was swarmed by Secret Service, one of whom walked between the camera and the heckler as he yelled. (RELATED: Dem State Senate Candidate Invites Republicans To Her Next Gyno Visit)

Biden was reportedly stopping off at Arethusa Farm Dairy Shop when the exchange occurred, according to the Gateway Pundit. She was joined at the ice cream shop by Lamont, Cardona, and New Haven Mayor Justin Elicker, according to CT Insider.

The visit to New Haven is part of a three-state tour for Biden to promote learning programs funded by the American Rescue Plan, the Gateway Pundit continued. She visited the Albertus Magnus College and met with roughly 24 elementary school students, the New Haven Register reported.

One of the residents living opposite the college campus told New Haven Register reporters that if he could have spoken to the First Lady, he’d have told her that “there’s no more middle class,” according to reporter Mark Zaretsky. “There’s only rich and poor — and it’s real hard out here for families.”
