Twenty-four-year-old rapper JayDaYoungan was fatally shot Wednesday outside a residence in Louisiana.
Police were called to reports of a shooting at a house shortly prior to 6 p.m. and found JayDaYoungan, whose real name is Javorius Scott, severely injured, the Bogalusa Police Department told TMZ. The young rapper was transported to the hospital but died as a result of his injuries despite efforts to save him, the outlet reported.
Someone on-scene transported a second person wounded in the shooting to the hospital, according to TMZ.

JayDaYoungan reportedly lost a significant amount of blood after being shot outside of the Louisiana residence. An unnamed law enforcement source initially indicated he had been rushed into surgery, but later in the evening, it was confirmed medical professionals were unable to save his life, TMZ reported.
The second victim in the shooting is believed to be related to JayDaoYoungan, with some speculating that it may be his father, according to the outlet. (RELATED: Young Florida Rapper Died On A Dare)
Roughly an hour after JayDaYoungan was shot, more gunfire was reported in the area, TMZ reported. Police reportedly indicated that during the second incident, a vehicle was struck, but no victims were reported.
Other rappers have lost their lives to gunfire in recent weeks. Aspiring rapper Rollie Bands was fatally shot in the parking lot of his apartment building July 22, reportedly mere minutes after taunting his haters to come for him. Mariel Semonte Orr, known as Trouble, and FBG Cash, have also recently been murdered.

JayDaYoungan had already achieved great success in his young life and was heavily immersed in the rap community. He catapulted to fame after signing with Atlantic Records in 2017 and has collaborated with prominent artists such as Latto, Lil Durk, and Boosie Badazz, according to TMZ.
