Cannon was masked with his head raised slightly off the pillow in the first image that he posted to Instagram. He was hooked up to various machines which were visible in the photograph.

“Don’t trip though, I don’t need any well wishes or prayers , just some solid rest and I will be back on the journey to becoming stronger than ever… it’s just pneumonia, nothing I can’t handle,” the 42-year-old artist wrote.

The second photograph showed Cannon lying down in the hospital bed with his eyes closed. His hospital gown seemed to be covering monitoring devices that he was hooked up to. (RELATED: Nick Cannon Jokes About All His Kids And ‘Baby-Mamas’ In New Christmas Video)

He concluded his post, saying, “Life is definitely a rollercoaster! #LupusWarrior.”

The extent of his illness remains unknown at this time.
