Okay, so this is absolutely amazing.

ESPN and Cinemark have come together in a partnership to play some of the most iconic College Football Playoff (CFP) games live in select movie theaters.

The Fiesta Bowl, the Peach Bowl and the National Championship will play in theaters near the University of Michigan, Ohio State University, Texas Christian University (TCU) and others, according to Cinemark’s official site.

The partnership between ESPN and Cinemark is in its second year.

I’m totally going to need either Miami (FL) or Florida State (or both) to make the College Football Playoff in 2023. Screw the Gators, though: I can’t stand them. I live in the Sunshine State, and I want to experience the CFP in a movie theater, so the Canes or Noles need to deliver on that for me. I guess I’ll ride with Florida State, because Lord knows the Hurricanes — a team I also happen to root for, being in the 305 — aren’t giving that to me. Say what you want about the sticky floors and expensive popcorn (I’ve seen the jokes), but it would be absolutely glorious to watch the CFP on a big-ass movie screen. You’re going there for the game anyways, but writing this did give me an idea: ESPN and Cinemark should also include kick-ass football food during these showings — pizza, hot wings, hoagies: you know, the works. Let’s get that floor even stickier! They’d make a killing off of that.

Personally, I’m in with this whole movie theater thing. I think it’s a fantastic idea.
