Podcasters Joe Rogan and Russell Brand mocked White House senior medical adviser Dr. Anthony Fauci for reportedly conspiring to cover up the COVID-19 lab-leak theory.

Brand read a timeline of Fauci consistently branding the lab-leak theory as a “conspiracy theory” after former President Donald Trump, Republican Arkansas Sen. Tom Cotton and other officials suggested it to be the virus’ origin. The U.S. Department of Energy and FBI Director Christopher Wray publicly said recently that the virus likely originated and leaked from a laboratory.

“He’s not being sued,” Rogan said. “Not that I’m aware of. You would think that with the claims that he makes, that he would be sued, and one of the claims that he makes is that there was a concerted effort to diminish the possibility of this lab-leak hypothesis being mainstream and that they went out of their way … they conspired to push this narrative.”

Rogan also pointed to a tense exchange between Fauci and Republican Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul in Jan. 2022 over the medical advisor’s suppression of the lab-leak theory. (RELATED: Social Media Users Call For Fauci To Debate Vaccine Skeptic Following Interview On ‘The Joe Rogan Experience’)

“You see he’s [Fauci] lying,” Rogan continued. “He’s like ‘you don’t know what you are talking about,’ he’s slowing the conversation down to an almost un-followable level. The way he talks and the way he utilizes words, senator, senator, you do not know what you are talking about. Who the fuck talks like that? It’s like a switch-up pitch in baseball, like why is it coming at me at 50 miles per hour? You almost don’t know what to do. You just want to interrupt him and badger him and beat him down and when you do that, that’s what he wants. He wants chaos, he wants you to be yelling at him so he can get out of there.”

The “Joe Rogan Experience” host said Fauci has a history of pushing a “narrative” over drugs and medical treatments, particularly in relation to COVID. He named a drug called Remdesivir — which Fauci advocated for to treat the virus — as causing serious side effects such as a skin rash, breathing issues and a tightness in the chest or throat.

Brand said the medical field is selling highly profitable drugs despite its harmful repercussions.

“It seems like a war against nature,” Brand said. “A war against the traits that human beings have, war against their natural ability to organize, it all seems to be going in one direction.”
